In the last half-year the revenues of Rainbow Tours capital group increased by more than 11%. After two difficult quarters it is a good result.
In the first half-year of 2009 the revenues of Rainbow Tours group amounted to PLN 100 million, and that means increase by 11% in comparison with last year. The subsidiaries of Rainbow Tours are off to the races and are retaining profitability. After two quarters of losses it is the sign that the economic situation of tourism industry is improving.
- We are satisfied with the accomplishments of subsidiaries, which in the last over a dozen months have negatively influenced the result of the whole group. We can already see clearly that the repair program and cost reduction program implemented at the beginning of this year have its effects – says Grzegorz Baszczyński, the President of Rainbow Tours.
The Management Board of the tour operator expects a steady improvement of the results also in the consecutive quarters of the year. The sales are still growing and this is well indicated by the turnovers since June.
The growth of the company is certainly also affected by the improving economic situation and the situation on the currency market. Strengthening of Polish zloty has positive impact on the interest of Polish costumers in foreign trips, also in autumn and winter.
- We count for a good result for the whole year 2009 and a significant increase in sales and profitability in 2010 – says Grzegorz Baszczyński.
